Yeah, mainstream comic book industry sucks and it's run by literal psychopaths. So, I've decided to go full indie and embrace the ComicsGate ethos. Therefore, here's The Abductables, an insane sci-fi actioner that tells what happens when the Greys abduct the wrong motherf*cker. Space mayhem ensues! Back it  at www.indiegogo.com/projects/the…

Soul Men #1

3 min read
So what have I been up to? Well, believe it or not, I've been drawing a lot, and this is what came out of all that work: Captive Comics is publishing "Soul Men", a horror/comedy story written by Sal Brucculeri and illustrated and lettered by this humble artist. I could tell you about it, but you better hear it all from Captive Comics themselves:

Under normal circumstances when your brother dies you would mourn his death and wish you could have him back. You would never get over it, but at the very least you will learn how to live with the fact that he’s gone. That’s the normal circumstance… The not-so-normal or paranormal circumstance happens when your brother comes back as a ghost looking for your help to get into heaven. All you’d have to do is team up with him as part of God’s team of Soul Men and guide lost or reluctant souls into heaven or hell, occasionally dealing with demons… on the bright side, you’ll be able to hang out with Elvis!

Rigby and Cliff are brothers who were a blasphemous stand-up comedy duo. After Cliff died Rigby never learned to live with it. Cliff’s soul went up to heaven but was not allowed entry because of his sins of blasphemy. Cliff has to gain acceptance into heaven by God. While reviewing Cliff’s sins, God noticed most of those sins involved his brother Rigby. That is when God decided Cliff and Rigby would serve their penance as Soul Men together.

Now these brothers are serving their penance as Soul Men, but neither of them have an ounce of courage in their beings. Not to mention Rigby wants nothing to do with being a “Soul Man,” he is only doing it to help Cliff get into heaven. The only way these two cowards will be able to succeed in this penance is with the help of the ultimate Soul Man, the soul of The King!

As Soul Men, The King Cliff, and Rigby will have to guide many different souls of famous people, historical figures, and regular people into heaven or hell. Occasionally dealing with hell-escaping demons. Don’t worry though because if they fail Judgement Day will be upon us...

So the big guys won't publish my stuff, eh? Fine, I'll publish it myself. Behold, the 3 page prologue of my famed graphic novel 'Weregun', for your viewing pleasure:

weregun.smackjeeves.com/comics…

The idea is to publish two weekly pages of it. How does that sound?

Don't be shy, I need feedback. If it sucks, I need to know!
